Non-citizens, PRs in Brunei reminded to submit declarations under amended Land Code

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The Land Department has reminded members of the public, particularly non-citizens and permanent residents holding land interests in the country, to submit their declaration applications in accordance with Sections 3B and 3D of the Land Code (Amendment) Order 2025.

In a statement issued yesterday, the department said the one-year period allocated for the declaration process, which commenced on Aug 1, 2025, now has only five months remaining and will end on July 30, 2026.

Applications may be submitted directly to the respective District Land Offices based on the location of the land concerned. For land under the Brunei-Muara District, applications can be lodged at the Registry and Strata Title Division on the ground floor of the Land Department.

Members of the public seeking clarification may contact or visit their respective District Land Offices during office hours. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
