K-POP superstar, Park Soo-young, better known by her stage name Joy and her supergroup Red Velvet, is coming to Malaysia. She will be rocking the stage for Malaysian fans at Zepp KL on April 25, for her first solo show in the country.
Joy is one of the most established performers from the K-pop world. She is versatile and wildly talented as a singer, actress, and host. She debuted as a member of the South Korean girl group Red Velvet in August 2014.
In 2017, Joy debuted as an actress and has had starring roles in the television dramas "The Liar and His Lover (2017), Tempted (2018), The One and Only (2021), and Once Upon a Small Town (2022)". In 2021, Joy officially debuted as a soloist with the release of her special album "Hello".
Renowned for her vibrant presence on variety shows such as "Pajama Friends (2018) and Handsome Tigers (2020)", as well as her influence as a leading ambassador for fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands, Joy has made a name for herself in the South Korean entertainment scene.
Organised by Zues Event, the 2026 JOY SPLASH Asia Tour has promised a super show for her 'ReVeluvs' fans at Zepp KL.
As an important stop on her Asia tour, JOY SPLASH marks a brand-new chapter in Joy's personal musical journey. The concert promises an immersive audio-visual experience specially prepared for fans. Joy also promises to captivate the audience with her sweet and expressive vocals, complemented by thoughtfully designed stage production and interactive segments.
Fans can look forward to performances of popular hits along with special surprise stages, creating a night filled with happiness and lasting memories.
In addition, a variety of exclusive fan benefits will be prepared for attendees, giving the 'ReVeluvs' fans not only the opportunity to enjoy a spectacular performance but also to receive special surprises and interactive experiences.
The 'JOY SPLASH' concerts will also make stops in Taipei, Hong Kong, and Bangkok.
For the record, Joy's upcoming solo concert follows a series of successful individual tours by her Red Velvet bandmates in Malaysia.
Last September, Irene and Seulgi performed as part of their BALANCE World Tour at Mega Star Arena, while in December, Wendy brought her W:EALIVE tour to Zepp Kuala Lumpur.
Both tours received enthusiastic responses, drawing more than a thousand fans to the venues, and now it is Joy's turn to shine on the solo stage.
Her 2019 solo debut single, "Hello", was widely praised for its cheerful energy and nostalgic charm, reaching number one on multiple charts, while the album topped the iTunes Top Album charts in 26 countries.
This was followed by another hit single, "Happy Birthday", which earned over 1.1 million views on YouTube, as well as her recent hit "Love Splash", released last August, which has already racked up 1.4 million views.
