SEMENYIH: Top veteran star Rosyam Nor has always been a brilliant actor and at the same time, an excellent businessman.
After a superb performance in the recent hit movie 'Banduan', the top star who is also very successful with his ST Rosyam, a supermarket chain, is now also lending a hand with Spana, a newly established workshop equipment with a difference.
This is the first workshop equipment in Malaysia that caters only to motorcycles of 250cc and below. On top of that, the company is also breaking new grounds with a new business model.
During a press conference for the soft launch of the company in Semenyih, Spana is introducing the concept of “Rider Jaga Rider” — a business model that combines premium facilities, experienced mechanics, and competitive pricing while also helping motorcyclists who suffer breakdowns too.
"Malaysia has more than 16 million registered motorcycles, making two-wheeled vehicles the primary mode of transportation for the public, especially the B40 group and gig economy workers. The need for transparent, high-quality, and affordable servicing has now become a priority," said Spana's operating officer, Shazzuan Cik Rosli.
"It’s not just about motorcycle servicing. It’s about the dignity and safety of riders on the road. When someone is stranded at the roadside at 3am, that’s when we truly understand the value of sincere help. We want every rider to know that they are not alone.”

He also emphasised that Spana upholds the principle of “T20-style service, B40 pricing,” where every customer deserves first-class treatment without any hidden costs.
Meanwhile, Rosyam, who is also an ambassador and chairman of the company, also added that the establishment also wants to provide more job opportunities to bikers and young mechanics who are interested in having a career in the workshop equipment industry.
"There are thousands of workshops in this country for motorbikes, but most of them cater to the big bikers and the expensive models. Those in the 250cc category are hardly given much attention," said Rosyam.
"But it will be different in Spana. We are what you call a premium outfit, specially catering for to lower-end bikes, but at the same time we give excellent competitive prices for all. In fact, Spana is not just a workshop, but a community movement."
Top officials from Spana also announced that an initial outlay of RM1 million has been put in for the business model, but the venture will be going upwards as they intend push the establishment to more cities in the country.
Spana plans to expand its network to Bangi, Kajang, Cheras, and Shah Alam by 2027 to build a supportive ecosystem for the motorcycle riding community throughout Selangor and the Klang Valley. They will also be opening a branch in Kuantan before the end of the year.
At the same time, Spana has also introduced an annual membership package at a rate of RM100 per year, offering various benefits including emergency assistance and exclusive privileges for members.
In conjunction with the launch, Spana introduced the “Terpaling Viral” Video Contest and a Pocket Bike Contest, along with a lucky draw broadcast live via Spana’s official TikTok platform.
