Myanmar police destroy over 300 acres of poppies in Shan state


YANGON: Myanmar's police have destroyed about 311 acres of opium poppy fields in Shan state, state-owned daily Myanma Alinn reported on Thursday (Feb 5).

The eradication operation was carried out in cooperation with local authorities across several townships in the state, the report said. - Xinhua
