Mongolian athletes from Netflix’s Physical Asia awarded Golden Star

ULAANBAATAR: The Mongolian team and athletes who competed in Netflix’s Physical Asia, finishing second against teams from eight Asian countries, were today honoured with the Golden Star medal, the highest award of the Mongolian National Olympic Committee (MNOC).

The medals were presented on Jan 23 by B. Battushig, MNOC president and member of the International Olympic Committee, and E. Badar-Uugan, MNOC secretary-general.

At the ceremony officials praised the athletes’ teamwork, endurance and international success, saying their performance on Physical Asia helped raise the profile of Mongolian sport and athletes on the world stage.

The Golden Star is awarded to individuals and teams who have made outstanding contributions to sport development, won Olympic medals, or otherwise promoted Mongolia internationally. - Go Go Mongolia/ANN
