Brunei records 30 fallen tree, landslide incidents

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Brunei's Fire and Rescue Department has recorded 30 incidents involving fallen trees and landslides since Thursday (Jan 8), following continuous heavy rainfall, the department said on Friday.

The incidents were reported across several areas of the country as persistent downpours affected road conditions and posed potential safety risks to the public.

According to Brunei's Meteorological Department, the country is currently experiencing active weather conditions that are expected to persist until Jan. 12.

The Meteorological Department said showers, occasionally heavy and thundery, are expected to affect several parts of the country. - Xinhua
