Nephew allegedly shoots aunt to death after dispute over an inheritance in Myanmar's Ye township


YANGON: A nephew reportedly shot and killed his aunt in Yan Myo Aung, Ye Township, Mon State, after a dispute over inheritance.

On Monday (Nov 17), at about 4pm, a 42-year-old woman named Daw Khin San Yi, from Yan Myo Aung Ward, Ye Township, was at her home when her nephew, Maung Phyu, 30, from Phalan Chey Wa Village, Ye Township, arrived and opened fire, according to a source close to the security forces.
