Myanmar election panel to display second round of voter lists from Nov 21

YANGON: The Union Election Commission (UEC) announced that the second round of voter lists will be displayed nationwide for 14 days beginning Nov 21, as part of preparations for the 2025 general election.

The first round of voter list display, which lasted 21 days, has already been completed. The upcoming second display—from November 21 to December 4—will be posted at ward and village-tract sub-election commission offices and in villages under each village-tract. Where local posting is not possible, voters may check their information at the respective township sub-election commission offices.

During the display period, eligible voters are encouraged to verify their information to ensure the accuracy of the voter registry. Missing names can be added using Form 3, ineligible names can be challenged with Form 4, and incorrect personal details can be corrected through Form 4-Ga. All forms are available free of charge.

After processing all additions, objections and corrections, the UEC will issue a third and final voter list display in December 2025. The commission urged households to have at least one member check the lists during the second display period to help ensure complete and accurate voter records. - Eleven Media/ANN
