Brazil's Team Furia triumph in epic grand final to claim Blast Premier Rivals title in historic Hong Kong event


HONG KONG: In a spectacular conclusion to a landmark esports event, Brazilian team FURIA were crowned champions of BLAST Premier Rivals Hong Kong 2025 on Sunday evening, defeating Falcons 3-1 in an electrifying Grand Final before a sold-out crowd of 12,000 fans at the AsiaWorld-Arena.

The victory marks FURIA's fourth consecutive win against Falcons and adds another trophy to their impressive run since adding Danil "molodoy" Golubenko and Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis to their roster.

The thrilling best-of-five series showcased world-class Counter-Strike at its finest, featuring multiple overtimes and incredible individual performances that kept the capacity crowd on the edge of their seats.

The Grand Final capped off a historic week for esports in Asia, with the BLAST Premier Rivals tournament becoming the first esports event ever awarded the prestigious "M" Mark status by the Hong Kong government. Over 30,000 fans attended across three days of arena action, demonstrating the massive appetite for top-tier esports in the region.

The tournament saw eight of the world's best teams compete for a share of the $1,000,000 USD prize pool and participation fees, with matches broadcast to millions of fans worldwide in over 30 languages across 100+ territories.

The event's success, marked by government recognition and overwhelming fan support, positions Hong Kong as a premier destination for major international esports events and reinforces BLAST's commitment to expanding competitive entertainment across the region.

The event was broadcast to a global audience, amassing 26 million views, peaking at 1 million concurrent viewers, and generating 11 million hours of watch time.

This event was not only Hong Kong's largest esports event to date but also the first esports tournament ever to be awarded the prestigious “M” Mark status, a designation reserved for events that significantly enhance Hong Kong’s international image.
