Universiti Brunei Darussalam hosts summit on entrepreneurship, innovation


BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) hosted the International Higher Education Summit & Exhibition on Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Commercialization on Tuesday (Nov 11) and Wednesday near the capital, Bandar Seri Begawan.

The inaugural summit, attended by over 400 participants including representatives from Southeast Asian nations, was Brunei's largest higher education gathering focussing on entrepreneurship education, research commercialisation, and startup development within universities.

The event emphasised sustainable innovation and solutions for global challenges, supporting the United Nations Development Programme's sustainable development mission.

UBD said the conference aimed at promoting development based on innovation through higher education and was held to mark UBD's 40th anniversary celebration. - Xinhua
