JAKARTA (Bernama): Asean secretary-general Dr Kao Kim Hourn will take part in the ninth Asean Media Forum in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday (Nov 6), the Asean Secretariat said.

During the forum, Kao is scheduled to hold an interface session with media representatives to candidly discuss the bloc’s key achievements under Malaysia’s 2025 chairmanship.

"He will share his views on the region’s priorities moving forward,” the statement said.

Organised by the Asean Secretariat in consultation with Malaysia as Asean Chair, the forum serves as a platform for open dialogue between Asean and the media across the region.

The forum, launched in Manila on Aug 4, 2017, during Asean's 50th anniversary celebrations, aims to foster mutual understanding and strengthen collaboration in promoting the ASEAN Community. -- Bernama
