'Halal Town' to be established in a big way in Manila

MANILA (Bernama-PNA): The Philippines’ Department of Budget and Management (DBM) is throwing its full support behind the establishment of a Halal Town in Manila to promote cultural harmony, generate jobs, and boost tourism in the capital, the Philippine News Agency (PNA) reported.

DBM Secretary Amenah Pangandaman and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso led a coordination meeting and site inspection to map out plans for the project, envisioned as a modern halal and cultural hub in Quiapo.
