LUCENA CITY: Two minor earthquakes swayed the island town of Panukulan, Quezon, and the municipality of Tingloy in Batangas province on Tuesday (Sept 30) afternoon.
The Philippine Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said a magnitude 3.4 tectonic tremor hit 53km northeast of Panukulan with a depth of 10km at 12:47pm. A tectonic earthquake is produced by sudden movement along faults and plate boundaries.
