BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) and Northern Trust on Monday (Sept 22) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop digital and financial technology (fintech) talent and strengthen academic-industry collaboration.
The MoU establishes a framework for Northern Trust and UBD to work together on research and development initiatives in areas such as digital assets, the application of artificial intelligence, and emerging financial market trends.
These efforts aim to equip Bruneian students with practical knowledge and global best practices in digital and fintech innovation.
Deputy Dean (Academic and Student Affairs) of UBD School of Business and Economics (UBD SBE) Dr Ahmad Lutfi Abdul Razak said, “Today’s MoU will strengthen our shared commitment to knowledge sharing, talent development, and collaborative research, and we look forward to many fruitful initiatives together.”
Dean of UBD SBE Dr Wardah Azimah Sumardi shared, “This MoU will provide our students with invaluable insights into global financial practices and emerging technologies, helping them build the skills and perspectives needed to contribute meaningfully to the future of digital finance.”
