BEIJING: China on Thursday (Sept 4) defended its decision to invite the leaders of Russia and North Korea to World War II commemorations in Beijing, after President Donald Trump accused them of conspiring against the United States.

"China's development of diplomatic relations with any country is never directed against any third party," foreign ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun (pic) told reporters.
