Internet Bill passes despite industry opposition

A Bill aimed at enhancing internet connectivity in the country by promoting competition has become law despite opposition from the Philippines’ largest phone companies.

Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary Claire Castro said on Sunday that the Bill has lapsed into law.
