SINGAPORE: A runway incursion took place at Changi Airport on Aug 28, 2024, when one arriving aircraft was still in an area near the runway and not clear of the runway strip during the landing of another jet.

The runway strip includes the runway – where aircraft land and take off – and stopways on each end, intended to reduce the risk of damage to aircraft that run off a runway during an aborted take-off, for instance.
