YANGON: The Myanmar Motion Pictures Organisation (MMPO) has issued a warning to its members over involvement in online gambling promotions and illegal commercial advertisements.
In a statement released on 8 August, the MMPO said it had found some members of the movie industry appearing in advertisements for online gambling, which is prohibited under the law and could lead to legal penalties.
Participating in online gambling ads is illegal. The announcement is a general warning to all members of Myanmar Motion Pictures Organisation, according to a statement issued by MMPO. - Eleven Media/ANN
