Brunei and Sarawak trade showcase boosts ties between neighbours

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Xinhua): A food, creative and handicraft showcase organised by Brunei and neighbouring Sarawak of Malaysia is a tangible commitment towards strengthening their ties in trade, tourism and sustainable development, a Bruneian government minister said on Saturday.

The showcase is a dynamic platform that supports the growth of local entrepreneurs in the food, creative, and handicraft industries, Haji Mohd Amin Liew Abdullah, minister at the Prime Minister's Office and second minister of finance and economy, said at the launch of the Brunei-Sarawak Cultural Link and Taste showcase on Saturday.

The official said the showcase also promotes unity among people, linked by centuries of shared heritage, language, customs, and values.

The showcase runs for two days, featuring over 40 booths with authentic products. - Xinhua
