South Korean PM says medical students’ decision to return to school a ‘big step forward’

SEOUL: South Korea’s Prime Minister Kim Min-seok on July 13 described the decision of the country’s medical students to return to school, after more than a year of boycotting classes, as a “big step forward” and a “relief”.

Medical students had walked out of school in February 2024 to protest a government plan to increase medical school admissions.
