Religious ceremony in Brunei marks royal birthday

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and its departments held a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony in conjunction with Prince Abdul Malik’s 42nd birthday at Ash-Shaliheen Mosque.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Yaasiin followed by a special prayer marking the occasion. Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Major General (Rtd) Datuk Paduka Seri Halbi Mohd Yussof was the special guest.

Deputy ministers, permanent secretary acting permanent secretary, acting deputy permanent secretary, head of departments and officers and staff from the PMO and its departments were present.

The ceremony was held as a gesture of gratitude and to seek the blessings of Allah for the continued health, longevity and well-being of the Prince and the royal family.
