Laos reaffirms commitment to fighting drug abuse

VIENTIANE: Laos' Ministry of Public Security held a drug burning ceremony to mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, reaffirming the nation's commitment to fighting drug abuse and underscoring the serious threat it poses to economic, cultural, and social development.

The ceremony took place here on Thursday (June 26) and was attended by Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone, Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Security Vilay Lakhamfong, along with other key stakeholders.
