DHAKA: Bangladesh’s interim government has no intention of stepping down before completing its responsibilities, a top cabinet member said, rejecting speculation over a possible resignation of its leader Muhammad Yunus.

"We will not leave our tasks unfinished,” Wahiduddin Mahmud, the government’s planning adviser, told reporters Saturday (May 24) after a meeting of officials who are overseeing the country’s democratic transition.
