YANGON: On International Museum Day, the National Museum in Yangon welcomed visitors with quiet excitement as children, families, students, and international travelers wandered through its storied halls.

"This is my third time visiting," said Moe Thuzar, 35. "I've always had a deep interest in Myanmar alphabets and traditional handicrafts."
