OSAKA (Bernama-Kyodo): Around 119,000 people visited the World Exposition in Osaka on its opening day on Sunday, according to the organiser, with long queues forming in the rain at pavilions that only admitted a limited number of guests without reservations.

The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition said over 140,000 people had initially reserved entry to the site on Sunday. However, more than 20,000 appeared to have changed their plans due to inclement weather.
