VATICAN CITY (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti): Pope Francis, who is currently in hospital with pneumonia, spent a quiet night after having suffered an asthma attack, the Holy See's news service said on Sunday, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.
"The night passed peacefully, the pope rested," the Holy See said in a statement.
The day before, Pope Francis suffered a respiratory crisis, receiving artificial oxygen and a blood transfusion.
The Holy See said that the pope's condition was still critical, but he remains conscious.
On Feb 14, after the end of his morning audiences, the 88-year-old Pope went to the Gremelli Hospital in Rome for diagnostic tests and treatment for bronchitis.
He was later diagnosed with a respiratory infection and pneumonia, and remained in hospital. - Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti
