Call-centre scams: China's Liu Zhongyi apologises to Thais over sovereignty concerns


BANGKOK: Thai Defence Minister Phumtham Wechayachai revealed after a meeting on Wednesday (Feb 19), with Liu Zhongyi, China’s Assistant Minister of Public Security, on cooperation in tackling call-centre scams that Liu has apologised if he had been seen to infringe on Thai sovereignty.

Phumtham said that Liu confirmed his actions in Thailand aligned with previous agreements.
