Laos to hold Digital Week to drive digital transformation


VIENTIANE (Xinhua): Laos' Ministry of Technology and Communications will host Lao Digital Week 2025 to drive digital transformation, promote the digital economy, and foster technological innovation.

The event is scheduled to take place from April 2 to 6 in the Lao capital Vientiane, under the theme of "Building Resilience and Sustainable Digital Infrastructure for Laos," Lao Economic Daily reported on Monday.

The event will provide a platform to showcase cutting-edge innovations from local and international startups, offering opportunities for digital products to compete in international contests. 

It will also contribute to the implementation of the Ninth Five-Year National Socio-Economic Development Plan and national digital strategies.

Key activities will include a high-level forum on digital transformation, seminars on artificial intelligence, blockchain, and Industry 4.0, as well as various competitions.

The event will offer participants the opportunity to promote and showcase their innovations on national and international stages. - Xinhua
