Laos continues to improve service quality in tourism sector


VIENTIANE (Xinhua): Laos' Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism will collaborate with partners to improve service quality in the tourism sector.

An agreement was signed between the ministry's Institute of Media, Culture and Tourism, Pan-Mekong International Economic Development (Laos) Sole Co., Ltd., and China's Jiangsu Vocational College of Information Technology, to strengthen cultural and tourism cooperation between Laos and China.

The agreement outlines key areas, including educational and tourism exchanges to foster academic collaboration between Laos and China.

Other initiatives include Chinese language training for tour guides and skill enhancement for hotel, guesthouse and restaurant operators.

The collaboration will set a new standard for tourism services in Laos and support the sector's sustainable growth. - XInhua
