Hael Husaini's star is rising and rising; singer bags Best Theme Song title at 2024 Asian Academy Creative Awards


IT seems local singing star Hael Husaini's career keep going places. After his many successes in the local scene, he has also been awarded the prestigious 'Best Theme Song' award at 2024 Asian Academy Creative Awards held in Singapore recently.

And this success just comes after another international tribute, when the artist under the Rocketfuel Entertainment label was also selected to perform not once but twice at the 29th Asian Television Awards held in Jakarta two weeks ago.

And there will be no stopping Hael as he gears for more success at the Anugerah Juara Lagu finals, where the singer, composer and lyricist is among the favourites for the major awards this year.

Hael won he prestigious Asian award in Singapore when though the ever-popular 'Diam' which itself was the main song Astro's Malay drama series "My famous ex-boyfriend", also one most watched tv drama in the region this year.

It also turned out to be an impressive victory for Hael as he defeated the rivals from Japan (the main song for Japanese series "Nothing's Impossible") and also streaming giants Netflix and it's main theme for "The Imaginary", also another production from Japan.

The victory also shows that Malaysian composition into modern beats are well accepted by the international audience and Hael certainly has an incredible future as a singer, composer and lyricist in the Asian and global audience.

"Diam", besides being the theme song for the drama series, is also part of Hael's studio "Antonim Part I" itself considered an amazing work for Malaysian music this season.

Hael, who was also among the main stars for "My famous ex-boyfriend" series, is also considered among the foremost Malaysian singers who can prove himself in the international arena judging by his performances at the recent 29th Asian Television Awards.

Hael, who could not attend the event due to other commitments, said he has humbled and super excited at the same time with the victory at the awards held in Singapore,

"This song is very special to me. I'm so happy that it won the harts and the approvals of fans and also the judges at the Asian Academy Creative Awards," said an elated Hael in an media interview.

"In some ways, I'm really speechless with the win, I did not expect it, really, especially when I was up against the other two songs. They were also impressive.

"So it is very thankful I got the award. But victory is not mine alone. This win is for all my team members who have always worked so hard and always have given me the best of cooperation. So the win is nothing without them and I take this opportunity to dedicate this victory to them," said Hael.

"A special thanks also to my producers and label Rocketfuel. This is victory is also theirs and especially for standing by me all these years. And now my only hope is to produce more top songs with Rocketfuel."

The win also meant that Hael is among elite class members of Malaysian music who have won an international award besides winning a host of top Malaysian local trophies.

"I just want to promise my fans that I will not stop getting better. What is a singer without his fans, family, friends, teammates and record label ... And I will do all I can to improve and continue impressing everyone is involved in my career," Hael added.

"Thank you and 'Majulah Malaysia' and 'Malaysia Boleh'."
