EVER since Sabah diva Stacy Anam made her Malaysian music entry in 2008, the dancing queen of local music has never failed to win the hearts of her music lovers in the country and on Thursday (Dec 5), the petite songstress has done it again with her new single 'Menyala'.
Always known for her slick dancing moves and heart stomping lyrics, the star from the Land beneath the Wind, has always won admiration for her musical efforts, and the reason why she is highly regarded in the local scene.
With her excellent musical talents on and off the stage, Stacy has always been synonym with fast beats and superb dance moves. Also known for her dedication to her profession, Stacy has been one of the top stars of Malaysian music since winning the sixth season of Akedemi Fantasia overall title in 2008.
And for her superb efforts to bring glory for her state Sabah, the Penanmpang -born lass was recently awarded the 'Anugerah Darjah Kinabalu' from her brilliant achievements in the local music scene.

She was also honoured not only for the fact that she in an excellent singer, Stacy also has proven herself to be a brilliant songwriter and producer with her husband Akim Ahmad and their music company Rhythm & Rhyme Entertainment.
"The honour of being awarded the ADK is very, very humbling. To be recognised for my musical efforts by my home state, is indeed an incredible experience and yet humbling at the same time. And I like to thank my fans, family and well-wisher for this award. It is because of love from fans and well wishers is the reason for my success. I will always love them dearly in my heart," said 34-year-old Stacy.
"And just after receiving the ADK, the single launch is just perfect. The timing of the launch is a gift of love for everyone who has helped me and are important to me throughout my life."
In fact, her new song 'Menyala' which was launched in a glitzy press conference in a hotel in KL, is work of partnership with Sony Music Entertainment Malaysia and Alternate Records.
"This song is really special to me. It was written by myself and for my wonderful fans, well wishers and record producers like Sony Entertainment and Alternate Records. This is a work of love and the song is to push everyone in their life to 'Menyala' (shine) bright in their life and always ready to fight hard in their road in life to achieve success," said Stacy, after the press conference and launch of the new single.
"I have been in the show business for almost two decades now, and it has been a fantastic ride since 2008. Some have been very happy moments and there has been bumps too.
"But you know, my family, fans well wishers have always been there. Especially my fans, they have always supported me out and out and through thick and thin. And this new song is for them and I hope they will enjoys as they had with my previous efforts."
Stacy added that she was also thankful for the big support she has always received from her husband and music partner Akim Ahmad.
"He is my rock, really. He is always there for me and I hope that we continue to make magical music for our fans," said Stacy, who added she always feel blessed because of her family and fans.
As for the new single, 'Menyala', Stacy said that truthfully the song actually started to be a melodious track but as it went on to her usual rocky-styled song as it went on.
"Well you know, it was supposed to be a pop-rock kind of song, but as usual as I started working on it, the song was clear to be a chart-thumping effort, just like many of my songs. I think it really has come out well and I hope fans enjoy the music video too.
"This is an effort by a team of dedicated artistes who want to give my fans a rocking getaway and at the same time, a worthy message for all of us," said the enthusiastic Stacy, when talking of her new single.
When asked about the song in the charts, Stacy said she just want her fans and music listeners to know 'Menyala' is an earnest effort from her team which she hopes all melody enthusiasts will love and cherish.
"I do hope and wish the best for my team and the success of the new single. I hope my fans enjoy the rocking beat and also my message to them.
"For my fans, well wishers and family members - I always want them to 'Menyala' (shine) like a 'DIAMOND' always in your path in life. And lastly, lets rock to 'Menyala' yeah," said one of Sabah's top gem.

Top record producers Sony Music are confident and hopeful at the same time to see 'Menyala' hit the top of the charts.

Her debut album, Aku Stacy, was released on 9 March 2009. She also known as the 'Dancing Queen of Malaysia'. As a composer and lyricist, she is known as Bunga Cantik.
Stacy married Malaysian singer-songwriter Akim Ahmad in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah in 2016. On 17 February 2017, the couple had their first child, a daughter named Eshaal. On 6 August 2022 they had a second child, a son named Isa. In addition to their two biological children, they also have an adopted daughter named Bella Deluna.
