Thai consumers reserve expensive coffees for special occasions as prices climb

BANGKOK: Thai consumers are shying away from cafes offering coffee costing more than 100 baht (RM13) a cup, as the economic slowdown continues to bite, Korn Sanguankeaw, vice president of Specialty Coffee Association of Thailand, said on Tuesday (Nov 26).

On the other hand, cafes which offer a cup of coffee at below 100 baht have witnessed significant growth of between 60-100%.
