Laos hoping for better times as inflation rate drops to 20.7 per cent in October


VIENTIANE (Laotian Times): Laos’s inflation rate dropped slightly in October to 20.7 per cent, down from 21.7 per cent in September, according to official reports.

According to data from the National Statistics Bureau, the Consumer Price Index also surged, rising from 245,8 in September to 249,6 in October, highlighting the escalating cost of living in the country.
