BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) demonstrated its commitment to fostering collaboration, digital transformation and international trade as one of the key sponsors of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce’s Business Forum.

The bank was represented by Head of Corporate Relationship Management Andy Lim on the ‘Prospering Together’ panel.

During the discussion, Andy highlighted how the bank is helping to drive business growth in Brunei through digital innovation, through the group’s digital roadmap under OLIVE, a next-generation digital banking platform.

He also pointed to services like Biznet, which make managing finances more efficient, as examples of how the bank supports companies in adapting to a digital economy.

Andy also spoke about the bank’s role as a trusted partner for businesses aiming to achieve long-term success, offering not just financial products but value-added services like advisory programmes and mentorship.

An example is the SME360 Series, a virtual series of talks which helped local businesses navigate the challenges of the post-pandemic era, as an example of the bank’s commitment to providing practical support.

He shared insights on how the bank helps local businesses expand internationally by leveraging its strong networks and the global Islamic economic landscape.

The keynote address by Chairman of Asia Inc Forum Datuk Timothy Ong provided insights into how small economies can leverage strategic partnerships and innovation to thrive.

The forum, themed ‘Succeeding in a Small Economy’ served as a platform for business leaders and stakeholders to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing Brunei’s economy. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
