PHNOM PENH: (Bernama-Xinhua) Vietnam Airlines has launched its non-stop flights between Cambodia's Phnom Penh and Vietnam's Hanoi, according to a press release on Monday (Oct 28), reported Xinhua.

The inaugural flight took off from Phnom Penh International Airport on Sunday evening and landed at Noi Bai International Airport on the same day, the press release stated, adding that the non-stop flight time is only 1 hour and 55 minutes.

Currently, Vietnam Airlines is the only Vietnamese airline operating direct flights between Phnom Penh and Hanoi.

Previously, passengers travelling from Hanoi to Phnom Penh had to transit in Vientiane, Laos, on the airline's trans-Indochina flight.

The press release said that Vietnam Airlines will operate this route four times a week - on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays - using an Airbus A321. - Bernama-Xinhua
