Top politicians Prabowo and Erick Thohir meet with IOC in France as Indonesia dreams of hosting Olympics

JAKARTA (The Jakarta Post/ANN): State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Minister Erick Thohir, a well-known figure in sports management in Indonesia, accompanied president-elect Prabowo Subianto over the weekend to meet International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Thomas Bach in France as Indonesia dreams of one day hosting the Olympics.

The meeting took place several days after the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics began.
