BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) on Thursday (July 25) joined the get-together ceremony in the Temburong district in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 78th birthday celebration.

The bank said it participated as an exhibitor to showcase its commitment to the development of the Temburong district, and shared plans to construct a BIBD Connects facility in the district – a project that aims to create a fresh and vibrant atmosphere with commercial activities in the Temburong district.

“This will be the third BIBD Connects facility introduced by BIBD, following the launch of the first BIBD Connects Lambak in 2018 and BIBD Connects TMJE in 2019,” said the bank in a statement.

“By providing dedicated retail spaces and open areas for entrepreneurship initiatives, the third BIBD Connects will become a hub for Temburong’s burgeoning business scene,” said the bank.

“The facility is also anticipated to serve as a central gathering place for the Temburong community, promoting interaction and fostering a sense of shared identity.” - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
