China, Laos vow to steer clear of disruptions, oppose camp confrontation

VIENTIANE: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Monday (June 10) met with Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Saleumxay Kommasith on the sidelines of the BRICS Foreign Ministers' Meeting in the Russian city of Nizhny Novgorod.

Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, hailed the pragmatic cooperation between the two countries and called the China-Laos Railway a benchmark and symbol of the building of a China-Laos community of a shared future.
