Vietnam's first Department of Food Safety set up in HCM City

HCM CITY: HCM City becomes the first locality in the country to set up a Department of Food Safety, which began operating on Monday (Jan1).

The newly-established department, an upgrade of the pilot operation of the Food Safety Management Board, is in line with the National Assembly Resolution 98/2023/QH15 which grants special mechanisms and policies for the city's development.
