MANILA (Reuters): Equity markets in South Korea and Singapore led modest gains in emerging Asia on Thursday, with regional currencies mostly unchanged against a steady greenback as strength in US Treasuries signalled expectations around peaking interest rates.

Investors were keeping a keen eye on the downward trend in Treasury yields, with the yield on benchmark 10-year notes reaching 4.4922%, down 3.1 basis points (bps).
