Laos seizes over 32,000kg of amphetamine in three years


VIENTIANE: Lao police have seized over 32,000 kilograms of amphetamine pills and powder and dealt with 10,843 cases involving drug use and trafficking in the past three years, the Lao Security News reported on Monday (Nov 6).

The operations were part of efforts under the Lao government's national agenda on curbing drug trade in the South-east Asian country, said the report, citing Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Security Vilay Lakhamfong (pic).
