Philippines' foreign investments yield net outflows in September

MANILA (Xinhua): The Philippines' foreign investments yielded net outflows of US$698 million in September, the Philippine central bank has said.

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) said on Thursday that the September net outflows resulted from the gross outflows of US$1.6 billion and the gross inflows of 888 million dollars for the month.

"The recorded net outflows were a reversal of the net inflows posted in August amounting to US$153 million," the BSP said in a statement.

The net outflows in September were also larger than the net outflows of US$367 million recorded for the same period last year. Enditem
