BANGKOK (AP): A guerrilla group claimed responsibility Wednesday (Oct 4) for this week’s fatal shooting of a businessman accused of being an arms dealer for Myanmar’s military, in the latest assassination carried out by militants opposed to military rule.
Gunmen fatally shot Nyan Lwin Aung while he was eating fried rice at a street food stall in downtown Yangon at 10pm on Monday, according to a witness, media reports and a statement from the guerrilla group Urban Owls.
