Bribery attempt lands Malaysian man in Brunei jail with a one-year sentence and RM720,000 fine

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): A Malaysian man who worked as a freelance ‘runner’ was sentenced to a year’s jail and ordered to settle a fine of BND211,610 (RM720,000) for attempting to bribe an enforcement officer and smuggling contraband.

Eric Wong See Heng, 25, would have to serve an additional 25 months in default of payment.
