Javan hawk-eagle chick spotted in West Java

JAKARTA (The Jakarta Post/Asia News Network): Officials from the Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park Centre and the Raptor Conservation Society have spotted a 10-day-old Javan hawk-eagle in Geger Bentang, at the Cibodas National Park Management Resort in Cianjur, West Java.

In a press conference on Sunday (June 11), the head of the national park, Sapto Aji Prabowo, said the newborn Javan hawk-eagle was first sighted on June 3.
