Super Typhoon Mawar may head towards Philippines on Friday night

MANILA (Philippine Daily Inquirer/Asia News Network): Super Typhoon Mawar may enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Friday (May 26) night, the state weather bureau said late Thursday afternoon.

In a press briefing, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Mawar was last monitored some 2,000km east of Southeastern Luzon – still outside PAR.
