MANILA, April 23 (Bernama-Xinhua): The Philippines has awarded 63 offshore wind contracts with a total potential capacity of 49.928 gigawatts, which is enough to supply the country's future electricity demand, the Department of Energy (DOE) said Sunday.
Launched last year, the Philippines Offshore Wind Roadmap showcases the country's potential offshore wind resources, estimated at 178 gigawatts, reported Xinhua.
