Indonesia's Merapi volcano erupts again - ash cloud reaches 9,600 feet and covers villages in ash

YOGYAKARTA, Indonesia, March 11, 2023 (AFP): Indonesia's Mount Merapi, one of the world's most active volcanoes, erupted on Saturday, spewing out smoke and ash that blanketed villages near the crater.

There were no immediate reports of casualties, the country's disaster mitigation agency said.
