Brunei's CPI increases 3.5 per cent in October

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Dec 31(Xinhua): Brunei's overall consumer price index (CPI) in October increased by 3.5 per cent year-on-year, according to the latest statistical figures released by the government.

According to the country's Department of Economic Planning and Statistics at the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the CPI rise was in line with the increase in food and non-alcoholic beverages and non-food indices by 6.1 per cent and 2.9 per cent, respectively.
