EU plans to propose €10bil investment in South-East Asia

BRUSSELS (Bloomberg): The European Union will propose a €10 billion (US$10.6 billion) investment package to countries in South-East Asia as the European bloc seeks to strengthen ties with the region to diversify supply chains and rally support against Russia.

The investment package will be initially financed by public funds to support projects on infrastructure, energy, transport or digital, according to EU officials.
